It’s raining tonight. This kind of weather always gets me thinking about velocity. The speed at which these drops fall, like nothing in the universe. Terminal velocity isn’t what it sounds like — quite the opposite, really.

Wear Socks
This one today is a little unrelated, but not less important. I’ve seen kids out there who don’t seem to be using socks when they wear sneakers. I think that’s a big mistake.

An object in motion — stays in motion. Physics!
Isaac Newton, first law of motion. It’s funny, then, if it’s physics law, how does society’s “laws” get in the way? And to go even further, what are laws? When Heelys were banned, that was a cultural ban, but it had the desired effect of any real mandate.

Heelys are easy on the knees
It’s why I absolutely refuse to go down the stairs. Steps are outdated. My parents went down the stairs, and I’m old. My parents are dead.
